New Orleans has always been the island of misfit toys, and Wicked Hues is their salon.

The kind of place where you come in with D&D campaign stories and photos of your latest cosplay, and leave with hair that finally makes sense, a product routine you'll actually stick to, and something to talk about at karaoke night at Café Lafitte's.

I'm glad you're here

Welcome, weirdo!

I'm just hours away from my first appointment, and may I just say the level of detail, questions asked, and communication that's happened PRIOR to my appointment just proves to me that everything I read about this place is true. They're professional, genuine, & really want what's in the your best interest. Let the count down begin 🤗🤗🤗

Most salons are loud. Multiple clients, multiple stylists, overlapping conversations, someone else's music, the feeling that your stylist has one eye on the clock and one on the next person walking in, and one hand on the phone. That's not how I roll.

Not your typical salon space

I want to understand my hair

Compassion is punk.

And Wicked Hues is the good kind of punk.

I opened Wicked Hues in 2019 because I believed hair appointments could be an actual conversation, a real education, and results that didn't disappear the moment you left the chair. Seven years in, that's still exactly what it is.

Hair is my hyperfixation. I've done the deep dive on ingredients, curl chemistry, color science, and what the internet keeps getting wrong, so I can cut through the noise for you and hand you a routine that actually works. I will absolutely spend your whole appointment talking about it. And also about whatever you're currently watching, reading, playing, or obsessing over. That's not small talk. That's just how it goes here.

A note for the queer and trans folks, the alt kids, the ones with the tattoos and the hyperfixations and the hair that's never done what a Youtube tutorial said it would. This is your salon. Gender-affirming cuts, gender-neutral pricing, no assumptions about what you're supposed to look like. The best cut is always the one that makes you feel like yourself, whatever that looks like today.

Clean Hair Care Products

Working independently means I choose products I truly believe in, not what a corporate structure requires me to stock.

I work with Eufora because their approach to hair health, sustainability for people and planet, and education aligns with mine. Their formulations are science-backed, and they understand how hair actually works.

Every product here earns its place on the shelf.

I appreciate that level of care

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Fully and without asterisks. Gender-affirming cuts, gender-neutral pricing, and zero assumptions about what you're supposed to look like. You're safe here.

Start by filling out the First Appointment Consultation Form. This helps me understand your hair goals and prepare to meet your needs fully.

After I review it, you'll get an onboarding email with next steps to schedule your appointment. This ensures I can give you 100% of my attention when you're in the chair.

That will depend on what your hair will need to achieve your desired result! I recommend checking out the service menu for a breakdown of what my packages cost, and when you're ready, filling out a First Appointment Consultation Form for a more accurate quote.
